Information for referring doctors

At AMOS we offer a multi-disciplinary team approach to weight loss. Our team consists of:

• Surgeons,
• Dietitians,
• Psychologists,
• Exercise Physiologists, and
• Bariatric Medical Practitioners.

A referral is required from a GP or other specialist to see our surgeons.

Referrals

Referrals should include:

• consultant name,
• patient details, including
  • full name,
  • address,
  • date of birth and
  • contact details,
• reason for referral,
• clinical history of the patient, and
• your details, including provider number.

Waiting times

We will try to fit a patient in as soon as possible, however waiting times may vary.

Fees

Gaps will apply for both consults and surgery, however we accept both insured and non-insured patients. The team will talk a patient through all the potential costs involved in their treatment.
