Uninsured Patients

If you don’t have private health insurance, you have a few options.

  1. You can join private health insurance, serve the 12-month waiting period, and then have your procedure. In this case, we’d recommend you come in and see us prior to joining. We can help ensure you take up appropriate cover and that you use the 12 months productively, so you’re ready to have the surgery as soon as your waiting period is up. Find out more about insured costs here.
  2. You can pay for the surgery privately. If you don’t have the money to do this upfront or on a payment plan, you can look at the early release of superannuation on compassionate grounds or funding through TLC (Australian Credit License 509691; terms and conditions apply). If you access your super and do not proceed with the surgery as planned, you will be required to pay back the amount in full.
