Sara began her career as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist at in 2006 and joined the team at AMOS in 2007 through partnership with AEP Health Group. Interested in all things health and exercise related, she has a special focus in helping people with obesity and obesity related chronic disease, achieve their health, fitness and weight loss goals.
Working within a successful 10 year partnership with AEP Health Group and AMOS, Sara has been able to gain experience and special interest in a broad range of clinical conditions including Asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Osteoporosis, Obesity and Obesity related chronic conditions such as Arthritis, Type 2 Diabetes and Cardiovascular Disease.
Often, clients have a multitude of issues including lifestyle health, psychological and physical, which are taken into consideration when prescribing a new physical activity/exercise plan before or after weight loss surgery. Each person is treated to target their individual needs and goals through properly assessing their lifestyle, previous and current medical and exercise history, likes, dislikes and psychological and physical restrictions. Sara loves to use exercise and physical activity to improve one’s quality of life through enhancing mobility, building self confidence and achieving optimum health goals. To provide extra and ongoing support to those preparing or following surgery, she have developed a group exercise class specifically for AMOS clients at Woodville Park.
